The Seven of Wands protects a position that has already been gained. Pressure is real, but not every challenge has equal merit; the task is to defend what matters without turning constant resistance into an identity.
A defensible position usually exists because earlier effort, recognition, or access created something others now contest. The card supports refusal when the demand would compromise a standard, boundary, or priority. It does not require proving the position to every challenger before acting.
Selective attention is the deeper skill. Six wands can represent six objections, requests, rivals, or fears, but only some will affect the outcome. Group them, answer the material issue, and let low-value provocation pass without borrowing the time reserved for the real work.
Practical adviceChoose the position worth holding, state its reason once, and stop spending equal energy on every challenge.
